Project 12 Civilian & Criminal Path

Live in the city — build cash and reputation through jobs, then choose how far into crime your story goes.

Civilian / Criminal Path

Not everyone in Project 12 wants a badge. The civilian / criminal path is the street-side identity: take jobs, earn cash, make a name, and decide when — if ever — to break the law. This is the counterpart to Police Path inside Cinnamon X (CinnamonSoftware)’s Roblox open-world city RP (released December 2, 2025, online multiplayer).

Two dials, one character

Think of the path as two dials you set each session:

  1. Economy dial — how hard you grind legal loops (Make Money, Jobs Tier List)
  2. Heat dial — how much law attention you invite (Arrests and Chases)

You can run economy high / heat low forever and still have a complete fantasy. Crime is optional spice, not a mandatory exam.

Civilian identity pillars

Competence

Finish job cycles. Incomplete hustles teach less than modest completed payouts.

Route ownership

Build triangles with Map and Locations. Own a commercial pocket.

Social presence

“Making a name” can mean being the reliable driver, the shop RP regular, or the chaotic wildcard — pick intentionally.

Restraint

Not every officer on Become Police is your nemesis storyline. Sometimes you just deliver the goods.

Criminal identity pillars

Pre-planning

Scores without exits are donations.

Heat caps

Decide max pursuits per night.

Cool-downs

Legal work after heat prevents revenge spirals.

Respect for the scene

If a pursuit is clearly RP theater, match tone; if tryhard, play clean optimization.

Session contracts

  • Worker contract: three clean job cycles, zero crimes
  • Name contract: social RP in a landmark district, light economy
  • Risk contract: one planned score with two exits, then mandatory legal cooldown
  • Hybrid contract: alternate hours, not minutes

Lock it with Starter Checklist.

Progression without lying

Track cash, successful escapes, and fun. Do not track imaginary leaderboard ranks chat invents. Ignore unverified codes (Codes Hub) and scripts (Scripts Hub). Recheck economy after Updates Hub events, including “1000 Likes = Update!” (Likes Milestone).

Relationship to police players

You share the city with people reading Police Path Tier List. Good rivalry needs:

  • In-world conflict
  • Willingness to lose sometimes
  • No real-world harassment

Peak population (~1.78M visits scale) increases both opportunity and interference.

Failure modes

  • Heat dial stuck at maximum until you hate the game
  • Economy dial stuck at doomscrolling menus looking for mythical multipliers
  • Refusing Controls practice and blaming “buggy chases”
  • Trusting impostor money Discords — verify via Discord & Group and Links Hub

Soft roadmap

  1. Day one: Getting Started + worker contract
  2. Day two: map literacy + A-band jobs
  3. Later: optional risk contract
  4. Ongoing: cross-read police pages so escapes respect real officer habits

Reputation without a formal meter

Even if Project 12 does not show a numeric “fame” bar, other players remember patterns. Consistent workers become go-to partners. Reckless runners become free XP for officers practicing Police Path Tier List habits. Decide which memory you are planting. Making a name is rarely one viral clip — it is repeated contracts kept.

Money psychology that keeps you playing

Cash anxiety makes people click phishing “doublers.” Set a session cash goal that is finishable, then stop shopping. If you miss the goal, adjust tomorrow’s triangle instead of rage-crime. Pair this with Starter Checklist notes so emotions do not silently rewrite your dials.

When the law fantasy looks more fun

Feeling bored of deliveries is normal. Sample a police evening using Police Path rather than forcing crime you do not enjoy. Breadth across days beats forcing both identities into one confused hour.

Civilian and criminal play in Project 12 is the art of living with consequences you chose. Set the dials on purpose, finish your loops, and let the city’s officers argue with the story you are writing.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Project 12 players.

Do I have to be a criminal to enjoy civilian play?

No. Jobs and social presence are enough for a full identity.

How do I “make a name”?

Consistency in a district, memorable but fair play, and repeating contracts beat random chaos.

What should I read first?

Make Money, Map and Locations, then Arrests and Chases if you raise the heat dial.

Can I switch to police later?

Yes. Use the Police Path page and Become Police guide on a fresh session.

Are there cash codes?

None verified yet. Treat external lists as untrusted until the Codes Hub confirms them.
